What Home Means to Me

Let me tell you what home means to me. Home means having a safe place to live. Home means having my family with me, and being able to call it mine. These are three things that home means to me. First, home means a safe place to live. You need a strong roof, strong walls that block wind and give you shelter. What makes a strong roof? A strong roof is made of metal or tile. What makes a strong wall? Brick, mortar, and wood. What blocks wind in a home? Insulation blocks wind. It is big pinkish orangish puffy stuff. What is shelter? Shelter is all those put together. That is what makes home a safe place. Second, home means having my family with me. One thing that every home needs is a family. Family means feeling loved, cared for, special and comfortable. My family makes me feel happy and cared for. They make me laugh and so much more. Last, home means being able to call it mine, like this is my house, this is my room, this is my fish and my fish tank. As you can see, having a safe place to live with my family and being able to call it mine are what home means to me.
