Home

Home. Home for me is somewhere I feel safe, somewhere I can be me. It's more than just a roof and walls, doors and halls. It's my home, the only home I've ever known. My home is where I feel safe, protected and happy. Every morning when I wake up, my bed hugs me and doesn't let go. My room shields me from people, who don’t feel like home. I love my home with all my might, it makes me want to hug it tight. But what I love most about my home, is the people that help me when I raise my tone. But my main focus in this poem, is to talk about people who don’t have a home. People who have to face stormy weather, without a cozy fireplace or people to treasure. This brings me such despair, that people don't have many clothes to wear. It is why I'm here writing this poem, to help raise money for those in need of a home. -Alice:)
