A house is a house A home is a home For me a house is a building And a home is both a feeling and an emotion A house is a house A home is a home I first walked into a house But it soon felt like a home A house is a house A home is a home A simple building or room Can become a home A home is a safe place A home is a relaxing place A home is an emotional place A home is filled with memories A home is where you dream And soon those dreams will become real I feel bad for people with no house and home Everybody should have a home of their own Meaning of home can change people's lives This is why I wrote this poem To change people's lives A house is a house A home is a home A house is introducing And a home is welcoming A house is a house A home is a home A house is filled with furniture And a home is filled with family A house is a house A home is a home You can put a house on fire But not a home Everybody needs a home to live in It is a place that you can be alone or accompanied It’s the place where you feel safer than everywhere else It’s also not even a place but a feeling and emotion I entered this contest not to win But to donate money to the people with no home Because having a home is the best thing that’s happened to me
