Meaning Of Home

Home is a place I feel welcomed and loved more than anywhere else in the world above. I listen and think as the clouds drift by. And I wonder how lucky am I? Many dream of a place they could stay and pay to live and be comfy every day. We take for granted the life we have made in our home where we have no reason to be afraid. When there are people out there on this cold winter's night longing for somewhere to stay safe, without fright. We think we’d know what it would be like but we could never imagine how much it would be disliked. A home doesn't have to be big or small as long as it feels like it has it all. It might be tall, or short and squat but it ought to be unique no matter how hot. My house makes me happy and joyful too and everyone’s house should make them feel that way too! But many can’t feel those things when they don’t have a house, not even one big enough for a mouse. That makes me realize how lucky I am, how much I have that others don’t, Makes a lump form in my throat. When I think of home, special comes to mind. It’s somewhere I can be all the time. I feel safe, protected and comforted too. That feeling is something everyone should get to do. We should be aware and ready for action Because it would cause distress and much distraction This is a problem that needs to be addressed And with Habitat for Humanity we can try our very best!
