The meaning of home

Home is not a building but the life in a home needs a place to live. Home is a safe place for family and friends. Build my house up with brick and concrete. Build my home up with Love and peace. A house where we can eat. To thrive, to live and to sleep in a comfy bed. Knowing that our loved ones are safe. A house is what keeps a family dry to protect us from the wet and cold night. A place where we laugh and love to enjoy life. Where there are little to no fights. We don’t need a fancy place, just an area where we feel safe. A home is a community. But the only way that the community will survive is if we have a place to stay. Not just in our heart’s but in our lives. And this is what home means to me. Thank you Habitat for Humanity!! For not just building houses but for making sure that home is alive!
