The Meaning of Home

The meaning of Home is not simply that of the meaning of the word from a dictionary, but it also means a lot more. Home is a safe place for many people, and is also unfortunately an unsafe place for others as well. Home is special, it is more than just a place or a word, it is different. There is something special about home that nothing else has. It is not comparable to other things, something about home makes it different and special. This is an important part of what makes home home. If home didn’t feel like home, it wouldn’t be home. This fact makes it even more unfortunate that we have people who are homeless, because it means they have no place to return to before dark, no place to feel warm, comfortable, and safe, and are instead stuck out in the rain or cold, without shelter and sometimes food. Home is a special place, and unfortunately many people don’t have one, in the midst of a global pandemic. These unfortunate people have no place to call home, or the means of getting a place to call home. This is why these people need to be given the opportunity to get a home and a job, to live a more comfortable life. People who have a place to call home are very lucky, as there are many who do not. The people who have homes need to help the people who don’t. This way we can all enjoy the meaning of home.
