Meaning of Home

Most people think that houses and homes are the same things. But that’s not true! While a house is as simple as the place where you live, a home has much more meaning. Homes are where you share meals, watch movies, and be with your family. A home is a place where you can be yourself without anyone judging. When I think of home, I think of a cozy place where I feel safe. When my mom went to Canada for the first time, she was always telling me that she felt homesick because all of her relatives and family were back home. Some people think, “Why do tourists always go back home when the places they see are so cool and beautiful?” Sure, the places they see are beautiful, it’s just that a place couldn’t replace that feeling of home, love, and adoration. In conclusion, a home is not a house, a home is a place of love. Bree Grade 4
