There's a Deeper Meaning to "Home" Then Just Home

There’s a Deeper Meaning to “Home” Then Just Home By: Melina Taylor The meaning of home means many different things to me. Like feeling safe, sharing memories, or even feeling welcome. My home means a lot to me and here's why. Having my family to talk to and my sisters to open up to definitely made me as a person feel more welcome in my house. I have my own room so to me my room is like my second home. When I want privacy or just want to be alone, I can just go in my room. I have an open yard with fresh air where I can play fetch with my dog. We don’t live too close to stores or lots of traffic, so it’s not noisy. I feel safe in my home because we have a dog even though I know he wouldn’t hurt a soul, he makes me feel safe. I have lots of good memories and stories. Like when we renovated our basement so now I can go down there every day, or when I got surprised with my cat last year. Little things like watching movies with my sister when she comes home are some of my best memories. There's lots of things I could go on about but it would take a long time. All of these things are why home has a deeper meaning to me. I’ve lived in my home ever since I was born and I love all my memories there. Even though it doesn’t sound special, it is to me.
