Home is Where the Heart is

Home is where I am loved and respected Where all my dreams come true Home is where the best memories Are held and treasured , too . Home is where I have a roof over my head And where and when I sleep , I am warm in my soft and cozy bed . I feel freedom and happiness when I’m at home Especially when in my backyard I roam . I have a lizard that is cute and small , But she really does think of herself as ‘tall’ . I love to cuddle and pet my lizard , She helps me calm down in my hard times . She is endlessly patient and will listen to me , As well as everybody else in my family tree . This poem made me realize the Importance of home . So here’s my conclusion : Everybody deserves a home . This contest can help a homeless person or family who’s home Got destroyed in a disaster . Remember , we are writing this for a cause !
