The Meaning of Home

Home is where I feel warm as a fire pit, protected from the cold. Home is where I can feel safe, feel bold. Home is wherever there are puzzles, books, and bots. There is warm food, and there are spatulas, pans, and pots. Home is my family, where they comfort me and support me. Home is not just a building, it is where my friends are. My school welcomes me with a smile every morning, it is a bucket of joy. The forest reaches high, it’s tree’s arms reaching the sky. The woods provide a place for many, the animals, plants, and with the wood, a habitat for humanity. They provide clean air, keep the ground stable, and create a story of happiness, a fable. The birds sing lovely songs, and the doorbells go ding-dong. Every day, the construction of houses, the workers, working, bricks laid down. Homes being built, their structures on wooden stilts. Back to my house, the yard is sometimes grass, sometimes snow. When it snows, it covers the ground like a soft blanket, When it’s grass it keeps the ground stable, covering a million areas, providing a habitat for ants. Many do not have a place to call home, I want everyone to feel as safe as me. To have a place to keep the heat out, or the cold. The reason I write this, It is that many people do not have a place to call home.
