The Meaning of Home

THE MEANING OF HOME Home is a beautiful word, but it is more than a word, it is a place with love, happiness, peace, comfort,and safety. All these things mean home to me. Love Home is love when my dad takes me to my ski lessons, home is love when my mom makes my favorite meal. Home is also love when my family sits down and watches a movie together. I feel love when my family comes to my sports games and cheers me on. I feel love when my family is encouraging and happy for me, that is why home means love to me. Happiness Home means happiness to me. For example, my home feels happy when my sister makes a funny face or when my family does things that are nice or we are all just in a good mood. When others are happy, our home is happy. I feel happiness 99% of the time but what makes me feel the happiest is when my family and friends are around me. At home, these people are always there. I feel happy at home. That is why home means happiness to me. Peace Home means peace to me, because when I'm at home, it is quiet and I can be me. I feel respected for who I am. I feel peace because I'm not being yelled at or rushed and I can do what I want to do. Home also means peace because I can go to my bedroom and read and write. Home means peace to me because I can just be alone in my thoughts. Comfort Home is comfort to me, because when I feel upset or depressed my family provides comfort to me. Everyone goes through tough times but when you have a home there is a place and people that help you get through those times. I wish everyone could have the comfort of home that I feel. Safe Home feels safe to me because I'm around my family. I'm safe at home from the cold and the weather, I'm safe from strangers and animals. Home is safe to me because I am with my family. Home is a small beautiful thing that feels huge. Home is not as big as the world but inside it feels like it is bigger than the sun. Home is such a wonderful place that has so much meaning. That is why I think everyone should have a home full of love, happiness, peace, comfort,and safety.
