My Home

When I first moved into the home I live in I was lonely and scared but now it makes me feel good within Now when at home I feel love This home fits just right like a glove I would read with my dad and a dog on the bed Talking about what we just read My home feels best in the summer I would play with my neighbor and we would get dummer For me, my home isn’t just a lot It's the whole neighborhood we played and fought My home is the place where I feel safest Sitting on my couch with my dog is the greatest My favorite part of my house is my couch It’s a place where I go after school to slouch My house means so much to me It truly is hard to believe I love my house the place that I call home It is a place to feel love even if you are alone My home is kind of hard to explain When I’m home I try not to complain My home is a place to be happy Even if it’s fun and wacky For me, the meaning of home is a place to feel safe but for some people, that’s not the case
