Home is special to me because it is a safe place to be, it is where memories are made and above all I’m with my family including my hamster. Home is special to me because it is a safe place to be at. When I walk home from school sometimes I don't have the best day but when I’m at home I feel safe and protected. Another reason I like to be at home is when I am shovelling the driveway when it's like -30℃ outside and when I finish, I walk in my house the heat is nice and warm and my mom has a cup of hot chocolate waiting for me and it's the best hot chocolate ever! That is one reason why I love my home. Another definition of home to me is that when I come home from school or from hockey practice or dinner or wherever I come back from, me and my dad like snuggling with my hamster Joe! He loves it when we wrap him in a blanket and then he just shuts his eyes and sleeps for like thirty minutes. Another reason I like being at home is when my friends are at my house. All my friends want to come to my house for some reason but I guess they just like playing with me at my house. That’s another reason that I love my home and my friends and Joe and the memories we make! Above all, my family makes home special. For example, My mom, she works so hard with work and does groceries and she always cares and loves me. My dad, He was in fact the one who convinced me to play hockey. He always supports me and cheers for me. My brother and I like playing video games and mini sticks together. This is a little off topic but I hate when I see this but I think it is important to know. Sometimes when my dad and I are driving to the to the Oilers game and that road where you are driving to rogers place there's a little alley where there is a bunch of homeless people and it makes me really sad of what we have and what they don't have, so every time the game ends there is usually people playing music and I give them like 5 bucks to he or she and it makes me feel way better! And above all I love my family and being a giving person. So that's why home is special to me, it is a safe and a protected place to be, it’s definitely where a lot of memories are made, and above anything I think of family. ( and my hamster joe!) But before I'm done I would like to say one more thing, Homeless people are just people and we need to help them. Because they need to feel that feeling when you come home and you have a place to go to. That feeling when you are happy, that feeling when you love your family so much. Because that's the feeling that everyone should have. That’s why I 110% love habitat for humanity, because everyone should have a word that defines home. Thank you!
