I Am Home!
Home is where I go at the end of the day to feel safe, to see my family and friends. Home is where I wake up knowing I have a place to call home, a place where I can relax and feel like I can trust anyone. My home is filled with love, hope, family, trust and so much more.
A house is made of bricks, windows, walls, doors and rooms but to have a house you need a home. To have a home you don’t need a house but you do need many other things. There is a quote by Cecilia Ahern that says, “Home is not a place it is a feeling,“ and I think this quote is really true. Here’s why I love this quote, even when I am not in my house I still sometimes feel like I am home. If I feel safe and loved then I feel like I am home.
People who are homeless shouldn't be called that, they should be called "houseless" because they do have a home. Whether it’s by themselves or at a homeless shelter or even a group of people that made a camp. Habitat for humanity has helped so many people get back on their feet because they don’t need to pay for the house and you only have to volunteer to time and show your commitment. To sum all this up as long As I feel safe, loved, happy, trusted and respected. I AM HOME!
