Meaning of Home

“ A house is made of brick and mortar, but a home is made by the people who live there.”-M.K. Soni. Everybody has a different interpretation of home, some people think of home as a person. For me home is the people and things in it. A house is made out of materials but a home is made of the memories in it. I think everyone had a home at some point in their life. Home for me is my family. My family makes my house a home because of the memories they create with me. My family is my home but so are my pets they make my home more lively and interesting. When I think of home I think of the stuff in it. For me home is my bed and my books and my clothes. For me home is food because what's a home without food? When I think of home I think of me and my family having dinner or watching a movie together. For me my home is Peterborough. Peterborough is my home because of the places and people in it. I grew up in Peterborough so I know it. I think of Peterborough as my home because I have memories in Peterborough and I am familiar with the environment. A house is made of things but a home is made of the memories from it. Home is special to me because of my family and the memories they create. My home isn’t my house, my home is where it is, who’s in it and where it is. What does home mean to you?
