What Home means

I am a house I am made of wood and warmed up sand and metal pipes They all come together to make one thing A empty house that has nothing Till someone claims me and I become home I still remain all alone And when people came and examined me I new this was my destiny So when the for sale sign came off my lawn I was officially a home The people came they brought furniture in and made me their home They would go on to put plants near windows or plant flowers in my front yard The Kids would kick my walls or run down my halls and draw big smiley faces on my doors While the parents would work signing online documents and writing emails The parents would cook the most delicious smelling things cookies, muffins and everything The people would play board games and card games and get candy if you won They would stay up late watching movies And the next day they would do the same thing They would play sports in there backyard and set up a basketball net on there driveway And on new years eve they would reminisce about all the fun times they had They would say what homes means to them to they would say warmth, family, the smell of cookies, movies, being safe and the one thing they said above all is that they loved me
