What Home Means to Me

A home is a place where people can stay safe from multiple dangers such as large and fierce animals, cold or hot weather, natural disasters. A home is a place where we can be happy and comfortable. Firstly, home is where we are safe enough to live in. Long ago, people did not have homes because they did not know what a home was. They used to live in open places. So, they weren't able to keep themselves safe from fierce animals, cold or hot weather, and natural disasters. We have homes in different structures such as Houses, Buildings, and Condos. We are always safe and secure. We also have many other new things such as air conditioners, heaters, and other things for our comfort. Secondly, home is a place where we can spend time with our families. If we didn't have a home, we would not be able to spend time with our families in peace. We would always have to think about our dangers and not have enough time to celebrate any holidays with our families. Thirdly, home is a place where we can invite our relatives on different occasions. For example, I can invite my aunts and cousins from Portugal to my home so we can reunite. If I did not have a home, I would not be able to give my relatives a nice place to stay and that would not be very good for my relatives or me. Now I have a home, I can invite my relatives to celebrate my birthday, New year, and other occasions. Home is a very important and essential place to stay safe, spend time with our families, and invite our relatives. If we do not have a home, we will become homeless and suffer a lot.
