The meaning of home is a wonderful thing. it's where you find comfort, it’s where you can sing. You can cry or laugh, or you can spread your wings. Open your heart, let someone in, For your home is what you can cherish within. Walls and a door, isn't what makes Your home such a beautiful, wonderful place It’s the people inside that make your heart wake! At home, you can share your love and your fates Your life, your problems, and even mistakes. If your feeling sad, don’t you worry At home you can share your thoughts with no hurry. Home is where you have all your memories, Your first steps, your first word and even first worries If its square, tall, small or even a dome Wherever there’s love it's a place to call home. You can cuddle your pets, It really is the best It's nice to have someplace,where you can just be Whoever you want, see You can always feel safe when you call something home Knowing that your never alone Even if your feeling down There’ll always be someone whos always around To help you get through it and help you feel good And help you feel reassured You may fight in your home, its true But in the end you always knew You’d make it up in an hour or two Because what's more important than being right, Is love, because it shines more bright. The misfortunate thing I'm sad to announce Some homes aren't safe, And some have no love, not even an ounce. But even though this may be sad We can still do things that make it less bad So next time you want to help, Just tell your mom or your dad I wrote this poem to help you know What is the meaning of home.
