Meaning of Home

Home is a safe place to be. Home is the family, and our dogs. Home is the house I live in. Home is warm. You don’t have to be scared of being robbed or anything. And you have a bed ,shoes and clothes to keep you warm. We have a roof overtop so we don’t get soaking wet from the rain, too cold from the snow or too hot from the sun. We have good food and good friends. We have floors so we don’t have to sleep on the ground. We have power so we can play on our electronics. It gives us light so we can see and it lets us cook and keep our food cold. We also have fresh water so we don’t get sick from the sewer or bad water. We have a swimming pool to go in, a sister to annoy, a brother to have sleepovers with and parents to feed you instead of you having to make your own food. Home is where we get love and cuddles from pets. And where you can have fun and don’t have to worry about being judged. On Christmas you get good presents and get to have family come over. I technically have two homes. I was born in the Congo. I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters who live there and a Mom. My Dad in the Congo passed away. I have a sister Maya in Massachusetts and Havyn who lives in Grande Prairie. My brother Micah lives in Kelowna. Some of my brothers and sisters are adopted and so am I. I was bald when I was 3. My birth parents were short. In Congo I lived in a tent with my brother and sister. We had to move into a steel home. I lived with foster parents for a while. Home is where I belong and where I come from.
