Meaning of Home

“Home is not where you live, but where they understand you.” - Christian Morganstern. What I love about my home is who I share it with. Home is not just a shelter with four walls and a roof on top. It’s a feeling. Home is very special, home is warmth, happiness and family. When I’m at home, I feel warmth. My family gives warmth. My family gives me warmth when we make hot chocolate together. I like making my hot chocolate look pretty with whipped cream and marshmallows. When it’s the weekend, I like to get comfy in a blanket and watch movies. Reading or drawing in my room brings warmth and I feel comfort while I’m in my home. Warmth reminds me of home. Secondly, everyday my family gives me happiness. They make me laugh with funny jokes and comfort me if I’m sad. They remind me that I will never be alone. We play card games after dinner, we always play UNO together. My family gives me happiness. Lastly, in my home I have family. My mom and I bake together, we make cookies and cupcakes. My dad makes me more confident and helps me go out of my comfort zone. My brother and I play games together. We play VR together and he always makes me happier. My family boosts my confidence, my happiness and they make me feel loved. Overall, home is a place filled with warmth, happiness and family. In my home, warmth is when I watch fun movies with my family. We play card games together and we make jokes. My home is filled with family. Home is secure and is a place everyone needs.
