What Home Means to Me

What home means to me is being safe in a warm place and having a family. I like that we have power, food, water, heat and love. But the times when I don't feel safe are when there is a storm because it is sometimes scary when the wind howls and the trees creek. Every time there is a storm on the weekend me and my dad and stepmom stay up and watch a movie and that's what makes us happy. At my mom’s, Mom and I go outside all the time and it is so much fun. We also love to go outside in the winter. My mom and I always build snowmen. Then when we go inside we have hot chocolate and watch our favorite show. It is the best. One thing I don't like is that my parents are split up but they are better as friends than as a couple. Another thing that makes me happy is that I have pets. I have two dogs and two cats. Also, a lizard. All of them make me happy when I am a little sad and I am so grateful that I have everyone with me to keep me safe.
