A Home is More Than a House

When thinking of a house, what comes to mind? To me when I think of a house the first thing I think of is a place with four walls, a roof and a door. My house is not just a house, it's a home. To me, a home is a safe place where I can let all of my feelings out. If I return home from school and I am feeling stressed or tired, or maybe a little bit of both, I can just lie down and relax. But, I feel the need to scream at the top of my lungs into a pillow, I know it is a safe place to be. In my home, there is music that brings me calmness. Everyone in my family, except my mother, plays an instrument, and, not only does it bring me calmness, but it also brings my family together. Lastly, to me, a home is a place where I feel loved and supported. Loved because know that no matter how angry I may make my mom, dad and siblings, there will always be unconditional love waiting for me at home. Supported because Whatever decisions I make in my life, I know that when I go home my parents will always support me. Sadly not everyone is privileged enough to have a place that is called home and has a loving family like I do.
