Meaning of Home

I am 10 years old and I go to school in Midland Ontario. I currently live with my grandpa and grandma and visit my dad on the weekends. The meaning of home has a special and complicated meaning to me because I have had many homes. After my mom and dad split up, sometimes I would stay with mom, sometimes with dad, and other times with my grandparents. I have never just been in one place all the time. Last year my grandma and grandpa moved into a new home. I now live with them full time and get to see my dad every weekend. Now I have my own room, a big yard and live close to a park where I can ride my bike whenever I want. Even though I’ve been moved around quite a bit, one thing has always gotten me through and that is the love of my family. For me, having a safe place where you are loved and surrounded by people who care for you is the real meaning of home I’m grateful for the new house, but even more grateful to have so many people in my family who have kept me safe and made me feel loved every day.
