What Home Means To Me

Home is a place that I feel safe and loved. Home is where you grow up, where you want to leave as you grow older but will always want to come back to. I love my home because I've made all my childhood memories there. I've laughed, cried, and learned so many new things. I have two homes. The first one, my mom's, is a big house with a nice yard, a trampoline and a hot tub. My dad's is different. It backs onto a big field. We have a pool there and great neighbors. Both houses are similar but also different at the same time. However, the feeling I get from each of them is the same. I feel safe and comfortable. They are both familiar to me. That is what a home is to me. My home is what it is to me because of the people who I share it with, not the things inside, not the colors of the paint, the hot tub, or the size of the yard. But the love I feel being at home.
