The Meaning of Home

What does home mean to me? Home is a place that is safe for me. My home is wherever my family is. Every day I wake up and hear my mom call me for breakfast and I dash down the stairs for breakfast and eat the fabulous meal, then go to school. Sometimes my friends would come and play with me. For example, my three best friends I've met for eight years, we would play fun games, play with toys, and play tag. In the New Year, my family, including my grandma and grandpa, and uncles would have dinner together. During the New Year, I would feel very safe and very happy when I sit on the couch and watch movies with my family. It was one of the best times in my life. One year ago, I came to Canada for school. At first, I was very upset about leaving China and didn’t want to, but still, I calmed down and came. Although my best friends are not here, I was amazed by this beautiful place. Nowadays, I play in the snow with my mom. It is the first time I have seen so much snow. Also, I would read and share books with my mom. We would discuss the books and laugh. I made many friends at school. They are all nice and kind. Our teacher is always patient and teaches us interesting things. My family and I discovered more delicious food in Canada. I believe that it will be more fun after we explore more fun places to go, it would be so awesome! Last but not least, sometimes in the morning or night, I would call my friends, grandmother, and grandfather and share with them my day. I love talking to them.
