Home

There is a big difference between a house and a home. A house keeps your belongings safe, but a home keeps something far more important safe. A home holds all the love, hope, faith, and most importantly, family. A home makes you feel safe, sheltered, and supported. Even if you are away from your house, your home is always with you. Everyone has a home, no matter who you are. Anything or anyone can be a part of your home, like your pets, an old necklace, or even a book you have read! If it is something that you cherish and is close to your heart, it is part of your home. If there are memories you love, they are part of your home. If you think of the food you eat every day, what makes it special? What makes it part of your home? It could be a special recipe, or it could be the person who prepares it for you. It is what connects it to you that makes it special. If you go to a campsite every year, the memories are what make it so close. If you bake brownies with your family often, with a new addition every time, the fun and happiness is what makes it so lovely. If you snuggle with your pet before you go to bed, love is what makes it home.
