What is a Home?

What is a home? A home is less a place, than a who. The people around you are what makes a true home. Yes, you could have a house three stories tall with a diamond chandelier, but you are lonely, living with others but never seeing them. A small apartment surrounded by those you love is more of a home. Being with others, laughing, smiling, and sharing good memories is what makes home a place. Houses can change, home is forever. Home can move. Homes are who you are with, how you feel around them. These people can change but in the end it's not that it will always be the same. Home is constantly shifting, new people, animals, things. Your home may start out a shell, a blank canvas ready to be filled, endless in possibilities. The paintings of your life will never stop being added to, changing to make life more beautiful.
