Meaning of Home

What is home? Home is where love is. Home is where family is. You sit next to the fire and are warm and safe People are poor. There is no safety and warmth when you are poor. Home is where I play. I play with my toys. Children without a home don’t get to play with toys. Home is where I have a roof and walls to keep me safe. People on the streets are without a roof and walls. When at home you eat delicious food but in the alleys there is no food. People in homes sleep in nice good beds and are warm all night long. People without homes wonder where they will sleep. Maybe in alleys, sleeping on the hard cold ground. Home is where I learn to stand up, eat, play, and walk. Home is where I learn to love, be nice, and have a family. Home is warm. There is love. You have a family in all of our hearts. Home is where love is. -Cooper Matkovich age 10
