Destroyed My home ripped apart My family was torn So was my heart All of my memories were fading Sadness was invading Was it my fault? What did I do? All of my family is not there Is it a home anymore? What's this? A week at my dad’s It’s not a home A week at my mom’s It’s not a home One in the country One in the city New step siblings New parents A new baby sister Acceptance Has my life turned around Maybe this is okay Maybe more family is more love One week goes past I say goodbye to one of my homes Though things have changed I finally realized family is wherever I go Hope love and generosity Is all around me Yes I have two homes but One heart
