A home is much more than a house

A house is walls, a roof, and a door, But a home is so much more, A home is where you can sleep in the night, A home is a happy familiar sight, Here is what a home means to me, A home is always the best place to be, A home is warm, a home is safe, A home is when there is a smile on your face, If writing this will give somebody a home, Let somebody know they’re not alone, Then of course I will write one of these, Because a home is essential, a necessity, a need, Where and who your home will be, Can change from high in the skies to the bottom of the seas, But the meaning of home will never truly change, From the poem that is written on this page, A house is a door, a roof, some walls, But a home is not that, it is more, it is all.
