The Meaning of Home

The meaning of home is not as simple as it seems. It’s where I seek encouragement and hugs from family. It’s a place for comfort and time to be yourself. You feel love, comfort and acceptance no matter what your family looks like. At different times you can feel different emotions and they're all okay to feel. Home is what you feel, not what you see. To some the smell of wood is home. To some, the feel of warm hugs is the feeling of home. Home can be anything you want it to be. A Home is not four brick walls. A Home is where you feel love and compassion. When you grow up and leave your home, you’ll always have memories of your childhood. You need a home or a stable environment to grow and become a great person. You might not always be with family in one place, but you’ll always carry the memories with you. Family is important, no matter where you are, and always cherish the memories deep within your heart. Memories are made in a home. Home could be a tiny apartment or a giant mansion but it always has a special meaning to you. Are you bouncing from one place to another but none have ever felt like home? It’ll take time to get used to your house, but give it a chance. What makes somewhere your home is up to you. But, I think that family is part of it.
