The Meaning of My Home

I live in my home with my Mom and Dad, and my little brother and little sister. My home is my connection with my family. A house is a place that holds a family. I live in a home not a house. My home is comfortable like a beaver's dam because it is cozy, peaceful, and restful. My home is a safe place to express my emotions. My home is a safe place to practice my religious beliefs. My home is filled with strong opinions. My home is for laughter, joy, and even anger. Covid-19 made my home better. When we were home day after day my family got to know each other in ways that we did not before and we treated each other with respect. At my home my family loves each other and we do kind things for each other. I think everyone deserves a place they can call home. Even the the people that have made bad choices because everyone should feel accepted and loved. I appreciate that Habitat for Humanity is providing homes for people that do not have a home. My home is a place to always come back to. I love my home.
