A Home, A House, A Building.

What do you think a home is? A house? A building? You may think a home is just a house, Or even a building. A building is a structure with 4 walls, a floor and a roof. A house is somewhere that is owned by somebody else. But a home… A home is a house. Owned by you, right? Well, nice try. There is a WAY bigger meaning than that. A home is a small word, with a bigger meaning, like your name. Your name is just a name, but with a fascinating meaning to it. Home is like a title, with a big story behind it… A home where you cherish memories. Laugh. Cry. Smile. Even become angry. A home is where you get to take off your mask. Where you are ordered to do a task by your mom or dad. When you get to ask and feel loved. You make silly faces and have races with your sibling to see who gets to the top of the stairs. You can live in a condo. A Cabin. A tent. You don’t have to be around walls to call it home. Even living outside beside a bench or even a bus stop. At the end of the day, we are living somewhere and that's called home. You don’t need a warm fireplace nor a bright kitchen to call it home. You need to cherish memories to call it home. I hope Habitat for Humanity is able to see how many people can relate to me and what home means to me.
