The Meaning of Home
What defines a home, you may ask? Home isn’t just some random house across the street. Home is something way more. Many people think “home” and “house” are the same thing, but they are mistaken. When you are at a house, you look around for a bit. it might be big or small, modern or traditional, but that’s about it. You can only describe the house by how it looks, and even then, there aren’t a lot of details. At home, however, you are instantly overwhelmed by feelings of love, nostalgia and happiness, and you can describe a home by how it feels.
Home isn’t something you can touch, or see. Home is the bond you develop with a house after years of good memories. It is stronger than steel, and even if you switch houses, you cannot break it apart. You eat there, you sleep there, you learn there, and, most importantly, you live there.
The place where you have spent the majority of your life is at home. The place where you had the most meals is at home. After all those years, even though it is a physical thing, you start to develop something with the house, and it brings you together with it, like glue. That defines a home. The true meaning of home is where you are most comfortable, and where you are happiest.
