My Paradise: Home

Home is a place where I feel I belong-a paradise filled with different emotions. Home doesn't have to be a significant house, or a place where you eat and sleep. It’s a feeling. It’s much more than just the house that I live in. When I am at home, I feel joyful and safe, more joyful and safe than I feel in any other place. At home, I see and am around my family, whom I make special memories with. My joyful environment also is filled with laughter, and, although sometimes we may argue, that is still part of the process of growing up. At home, I witness many kind acts made by people, such as parents taking care of me when I’m sick, and my siblings helping around the house. Kindness is another thing that I experience at home, even though sometimes we might argue. Similar to kindness, love is another thing that my home is filled with. When I am at home, I feel loved and supported by my family members. Small acts of kindness, like parents preparing lunch, or siblings letting me pick what we watch on TV, are what make me feel loved and supported. Growing up in a happy, safe environment has really helped me tell what the real meaning of home is: that home isn’t just the house or apartment that people live in. Home is really just where you feel safe and satisfied-home is a feeling.
