What a Home Means to Me
What a Home Means to Me
To me, a home is a dream come true. A home is not just a place where you sleep and eat. It is a place of love, helping and celebrations. I have spent my entire life in this home and I never want to leave it.
The second I walk in the door I immediately get a hug from mom and dad. The love that goes around in this family is like nothing I ever could have asked for, from tucking me in at night to the everyday hugs. My brother is a big part too. He plays with me outside, cheers me up when I’m feeling down and says that he loves me every single night.
There's always a time in my house when someone in my family needs a helping hand. I help my mom make lunches in the morning and help my dad pack his hockey bag at night. But they are not the only ones in this house that need help. I am constantly asking for help in my daily life, like with online school work to learning how to skate.
Our family loves to celebrate Christmas, Easter, birthdays and much more. Those are only some of the celebrations that my family celebrates. Every holiday that we celebrate, my parents always do something special to celebrate. They get us brand new scooters or basketball hoops.
Everyone deserves a home. This is one of the many reasons why I wrote this essay. All people deserve a nice warm home. I am so very lucky to have a home like my family’s.
