The Meaning of Home

Home is a place where I feel safe and feel loved. Even though I feel safe and loved, there are still times when I feel upset. But still when I feel upset I know that my home is safe. It is like wearing a seat belt. And home for me feels like it is a basketball court, because a basketball court is where I can shoot hoops, and when I shoot hoops I feel good. Some of the things that I love in my home are my video games, my mom, my dad and my bed and my dog. My dad’s old truck is off the ground by 7 feet, and he let me work on it with him. When I was little me and my mom baked cookies. When I got my dog, Dyna, I thought we were just babysitting her for the next day or 2, but my mom surprised me and we were adopting her! The things that I hate in my home are when everybody’s grumpy. I know that's a normal thing sometimes though. These are some other places I also call home; my Dad’s place and my grandparents. Many places can be home.
