What Is Home?

What is home? What is home? Home is a lot of different things to different people. Wikipedia states a home, or domicile, is a space used as a permanent or semi-permanent residence for one or many humans. It is a fully or semi sheltered space and can have both interior and exterior aspects to it. But that's not the case for me. For me home is a combination of a lot of things. For instance walking through the front door to the smell of my mom's homemade cooking, being greeted by loved ones and their warm hugs, or maybe gathering around the table to play board games with my family. But like I said it can mean a lot more things. I asked some of my friends to tell me what they thought home was to them and here's some of their responses. “To me home means being able to express yourself and being comfortable and not having to change who you are'' and another response was “To me home means having a roof over my head and somewhere cozy and safe to sleep at night, home means spending time with my family and friends.” So home is a lot of different things to different people but what does home mean to you? Having people you love all around you and being there for you. Only happy things, laughing and having fun. My own special place that fits my personality. Endless hugs and kisses.
