The Meaning of Home

Home can mean many different things, to many different people. Home can be a feeling, a person, a sound, or maybe even a meal on the kitchen table. A house isn't a home for everybody. A house can be a place you fear or are scared to come to. That is not a home. A home is something where you feel safe, unjudged, loved, and feel good coming to after school. It’s a place for mistakes, learning, and firsts. A positive feeling, a sound, a smell, a taste. Anything can be a home as long as it feels that way. Everybody deserves something to call home. But a lot of people don't have that opportunity. Everybody should work to accomplish the goal of giving everybody a place to call home.
