What Home Means To Me

Sometimes we don’t realize the difference between a house and a home. Sometimes we take it for granted, and sometimes we take the people who make it a home for granted too. We don’t realize that we are blessed to not only have a house but a home. To me, home is like a best friend, home is the things that make us happy, the things that make us smile, the things that we can’t imagine living without. Home will always be a place where you can be the true you. Home to me is a place where memories are made. Home is where family, friends, and loved ones gather together. You can renovate your house, and your house will change, but your home will stay the same. You can move to a new house and have a completely different house, but your home will still stay the same. Because your home is way more than just a house. Everybody deserves a home, rich or poor, young or old, black or white. When I was writing this I remembered how fortunate I am. Habitat for Humanity is such a blessing to everyone. I hope Habitat for Humanity can use this money to build more houses for families so those families can turn it into a home.
