Why is home important to me?

A home isn't just a brick building, it's a place where you can feel safe, be supported and be helped with doing things. Safety is very important in a home, because it can give you freedom to feel safe and secure in your home. Security systems, fire alarms and CO2 alarms can help keep us safe. My mom sets off the fire alarms every time she cooks bacon, fire alarms keep us safe. Support is super important in a home, because it can make you feel important and like you can do anything. Family can give you support, so you can do a lot of things. My mom gives me a lot of support to do things. The Mustard Seed and other organizations can give less fortunate people support. Help is important in a home too because you will always need help to do things. Support can help you do things, in a way support is like help. But help is not just about people helping you it’s also about you helping people. I help out with chores around my house, yard work and I help my brother when he’s hurt. Help is a big part of my home. Safety, help and support are very important in a home, that is why a home is important to me.
