What Home Means to Me

4 walls and a roof that shelter for members of my group My mother, my father, my brother and me Each of us playing an important role for our family My home is a peaceful and cozy place to be I have my own room which gives me some privacy I feel like myself as I walk into my house My character changes quickly into the realest me I wake up on my soft, plushy bed My roof protecting me from the rain above my head I walk out of my room Raindrops were falling on my roof I stay inside playing with my brother Though I wished I could play with others A house is a building No matter how big, no matter how small No matter how short, no matter how tall We should all feel comfortable where we live I feel happiness, I feel joy Everyone should feel this way Home is a place where peace is found Home is where you should feel safe and sound Home is where your loved ones stay Home is where you laugh and play Home is where we stand as one Home is where I learned to be the person I've become I learned so much in my home I feel good knowing I have a place to go to when I'm lost and alone I feel everyone should have a place to go to Even if it's not the same as mine We should all have a home that makes us alike That is what home means to me
