The Meaning of Home

The Meaning of Home By Yaoyao What is the meaning of home? The word, “Home” can mean a lot of different things depending on each person like “Home is where you feel loved, appreciated, and safe” Tracey Tyler says. In this essay, I will share three things that home means to me. First and foremost, I think home means family. Once you come home from school, many people like me will think, “What should I play with my family members?” For me most of the time, I will be thinking of playing with my brother, Shuan. Also, when I come home, I will feel safer than anywhere else! Once I walk by myself from school, I feel a little scared deep inside me. On the other hand, if my dad picks me up, I feel really good and safe. Secondly, I think home means experiments. All people cool at home as many people try cooking different foods. Without a home, no restaurants or other places will look by yourself. Also at home, you can try different kits, fun experiments, etc. Last but not least, what is the difference between a home and a house? Many people think they are the same thing, however. But if you really think about it, there is a HUGE difference. To me, a home is usually yours and a house can be someone else's. For example, you say “Can I go to my friend’s house?” and not “Can I go to my friend’s home?” You also feel different being in a house than being in a home. When you are in a house, you may feel strange. On the other hand, if you are in your house, you feel safe. In conclusion, home can mean a lot of different things like family, and experiments. If you don’t have a home. So people should STOP cutting down trees, so animals like bears, birds, etc loose their homes.
