Home

Home Rough time. Rough life. But I can always know I can run back into the arms of my home. The floor of my room keeps me up when I feel like I'm falling into the black hole of fear, pain, and heartbreak, or the black hole of sadness. I know that even if the whole world is against me my home will be standing by my side during the war. We will fight together. Even if it means that it will take its last breath to keep me safe. To me, home doesn't affect me physically, well it does when I stub my toe but that isn't the point. My home affects me more mentally than physically. Like when I’m at school and I say, “I wish I was at home right now.” it isn't because I want to binge watch one of my favourite shows. It is because when I’m at home I don't have to deal with body shaming, name calling, rumors, and to sum it all up, jerks. Home makes me feel safe. It makes me feel loved. All of those memories. You can find them in every crack. Even underneath your toilet seat. Once there is enough energy, you can make a memory. And that memory stays there forever. Your home is where your core memory is kept. Inside Out is a good connection for this. Having a core memory is a memory that shows who you are. It is a memory that you remember clearly, and your home helped you find that memory. Home can affect you mentally and physically and even if you punch a whole in its wall, it will still keep you safe. No matter what. Your home will love and protect you with all its might. Home is important.
