What Home Means to Me

I believe that home is more than just a place where you live with your family. Home is where you make memories with your loved ones. As we learn and grow many milestones happen in our lives and many of those milestones happen in our homes. For example, my home is where I took my first steps and said my first words. Home is where celebrations happen and where families grow. My family loves to celebrate our birthdays and Christmas. We work together to make each occasion special. During Christmas we love to bake together and decorate our house inside and out. For birthdays we love to make homemade themed birthday cakes for the person who is celebrating their birthday. At my house we spend a lot of time together at home as a family. We enjoy many activities together. For example, we watch movies, play games, swim in the summer and skate in the winter. Home is a place where you learn and grow. A home is a place where you feel love and respect from your family. People around the world make amazing memories in their homes and everybody should get the chance to do that. Home is where you celebrate with loved ones and cherish the present moment. We try to make the best of every situation, stay positive and focus on the good things in our home and in our lives as we work hard to build our future.
