Meaning of Home

In a perfect world, everyone has a place to live. A place where they have a family that loves them no matter what & a place where they feel safe. That place is called a home. Everyone, no matter who they are, or what they’ve done, deserves one. There is a big difference between a house and a home. A house is a material thing whereas a home is a place where you can feel safe, loved, and at the end of the day, come back to. It’s like your starting place. Someone wise once told me “a house is built with boards & beams, a home is built with love & dreams”. I have a house made out of bricks, wood & shingles. But that is not what it looks like when I come home everyday. To me, my home looks like a home with memories, a home with my parents, my cat & my brother. I love being home because it reminds me of everything that has happened there. Happy memories & sad memories. In the end, they are all engraved into the walls of my home.
