The Meaning of Home

We should all have a home that we can call our own. Home is the place where you truly belong, so isn’t it fair we all have one? I love my home, it’s tall walls make me feel safe, even on the windiest of nights. It’s roof over my head makes me feel protected, even on the rainiest of days. The smell of hot soup in the air makes me feel warm, even on the coldest of nights. The feel of soft beds makes me feel comfortable, even on the stormiest of days. When I have a rough day knowing that when I’m done I'll be able to go home, makes me feel alright. My house is my Home and it will always be. To me Home means warmth,on cold nights. To me Home means family and pets. To me Home means food, so I'll never go hungry. To me Home means protection from the weather. Sadly not everyone has a home, and I think everyone should have a home. There are people living in shelters and on the streets who have no home. There are people who have no food, and are constantly hungry. There are people whose homes have burned, and people who do not have enough money to fix it. So I want to help those people, I want to help them get a home. Your house is your home, and I think we all deserve a home. I want to help people, and if helping people is as simple as writing an essay, I’m going to do it.
