What Home Means To Me

A home is not simply a house. A house is just a building. Although it may provide you with shelter and a place to live, it does not always mean you will feel happy there. A home is much more, it is a feeling, a place that makes you feel happy, safe and loved. A home is a place you always feel welcome and know you can be yourself. It’s a place when you're sad, you can always find comfort and a place where you create memories both happy and sad. A home is a place where you remember familiar scents, sounds and tastes like your mom's home cooking, your sibling’s laughter or your grandmother's humming. It’s like a family member that you would miss dearly if lost. Similarly, if you had to leave your home, you would be devastated and a little lost. It would be difficult to come home to a new place. A home is a very special and unique place that is different for everyone. A home is a feeling, memories and milestones. Most of all a home means love.
