The Meaning Of Home

Meaning of Home ❤ What home means to me is good food, love, warmth, clothing and much more. Being at home also means safety. There are a lot of things to list for the meaning of home. Home is a safe place to be if it is too cold out, or there is something major that you need to have a home to live in. Some people don’t have homes, though, and they have to live out in the coldness or the hotness! Food ? Food is very important. If you don’t have food or water, you might get very sick. You have to eat about three times a day. Food I eat is very special to me because its Indian. These home foods are scrumptious! The food I eat is mostly for dinner or lunch. Sometimes you can even have this food for breakfast! Paratha, Chana Puri are things you can have for breakfast. They are DELICOUS! The food I eat at home are Paratha, Chickpea’s, Butter Chicken, Chicken Biryani, Samosa and much more. These are the main foods I love the most. Paratha is a hot, flatbread, stuffed with potatoes. They can also be normal paratha’s without stuffing. But stuffing is better! Chickpea’s are a great meal for lunch or dinner. My family mostly eats it for dinner, but sometimes we eat it for lunch. Chickpea’s and rice are good together. It can also be eaten with naan. Naan is a dough that is thick and soft. Its kind of like a bread. Chickpea is delicious with different kinds of spices that make it more flavorful. Mixed with rice, this wonderful dish tastes even better! Butter chicken is chicken with a creamy sauce over it. The sauce gives the chicken a better taste and it taste fabulous! Chicken biryani is also chicken with seeds that makes the dish flavorful. There are also a lot of different spices to use in chicken biryani. You can also have beef biryani, but my mom usually cooks chicken biryani. Last but not least, samosa! Samosa is a triangle shaped dough, also stuffed with spicy potatoes. They are dipped in a frier to make them crunchy. Now treats! The treats I love to eat are Laddu, Jalebi and Gulab Jamun. Laddu is a round shaped yellow good. It is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It is a very good treat to eat! Jalebi is a bright orange treat. Inside and outside there is syrup. It is fried and tastes so good! Gulab Jamun is a soft, brown, ball dipped it syrup. It taste better when its cold! Those are the three treats I love to eat. All these wonderful foods always make me feel at home! Clothing ? Clothing is important because it keeps you warm or cool. Clothes are special especially the ones that are suits that have beautiful beads or detailed patterns. I’m going to tell you about the special clothes I where for special occasions. One of them is called Salwar kameez. I usually just call these special clothes suits, but there are names for these dresses. In my home, there are a lot of different suits mostly that my mom has. But my sister and I have suits too. Salwar kameez have pretty patterns. They can have flower patterns or anything! They look best in dark navy blue, gold and black. You can wear jewelry with it too. A Salwar kameez comes with a Dupatta. A Dupatta is a silk scarf. It can also have patterns and it looks good if the colours and patterns match the dress. You can wear bangles with it and big earrings that kind of look like chandeliers. Bangles are bracelets that have gems on it. Also, bangles can just be plain gold with no gems. When you wear a lot of bangles, it looks pretty. But the best piece of clothes I like to wear at home are my PJ’s! They keep me comfy and warm. Celebrations ? A celebration I celebrate with my family is called Eid. Eid is my favorite celebration. When Eid comes up, it means the end of Ramadan. Ramadan is where every day you wake up at two or five and eat you breakfast. Then when its bright and early, you aren’t supposed to drink anything or eat anything. I don’t know why we do it but it is important. It can also be a little hard! People usually say “Eid Mubarak!” When it is Eid, my family and I go to my grandparents house and cousins house. When your going to an Eid party, you would usually want to wear one of the dresses I mentioned. Sometimes people come to our house for an Eid party! Some people fly away from their home to visit their family in their home for Eid. So, we usually just see family here and facetime family who live somewhere else. When I celebrate Eid at home, I feel happy and excited to see my family and get Eid money from them. Home ? All this is what I think the meaning of home means to me. It means special things to me. There are a lot of things that mean home to me but I can’t really name all. These are just a few that I like. But there is more!!
