What Home is

Home is a place you feel safe, which I am lucky to have. I'm so lucky I have two homes Some people are not as lucky, they don’t have a home. Some people don’t know what home means. To me, home means a place where I feel safe, loved, to have friends and to be surrounded by family and inspiration. It might be different for you, but to me it means this. At my houses, I'm lucky to have siblings. I have three brothers and one sister. I also have two dads, and two moms. They mean the world to me. Someday, I want to be as smart as my sister, as handy as my brothers, as handsome as my dad's and as sweet as my mom's. The difference between a home and a house, is a house is a roof over your head, and a structure. A home can be anywhere. It is also where the heart is. Every week day I get ready for school. Every weekend I wake up and get ready for hockey and I think to myself I could be a star today. I am lucky to have a family who supports my dream to one day play in the NHL. I'm lucky to have a home.
